• Adult Ballet, Hip-Hop Jazz and Total Barre

  • Jaye’s Dance adult classes provide a fun way to improve muscle tone, flexibility and co-ordination as well as improve dance technique. The classes are great for people who have never taken dance classes before or people who have danced before and would love to get back into it! The classes are fun and uplifting, perfect for all ages! It is a fantastic way to work on your fitness and meet wonderful new friends who love to dance.

    Total Barre classes are barre-based classes use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Light handheld weights might be used to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work.

    Our adults wear comfortable clothing that allow free movement (for example, leggings and top of your choice). Soft Ballet shoes or socks are suitable for ballet, socks for Total Barre. Jazz shoes plus pumps work well for Hip hop/Jazz.
